Civic EG

So my speedo just sits on about 20 mph the whole time I'm driving. Im almost 100% sure its just my gauge cluster going bad. If it was my speed sensor, it would sit on zero right? Oh and it used to work sometimes. I would also have a CEL if my speed sensor was out, wouldnt I?

yes, you'd have a CEL if the sensor went out... It's most likely the cluster.




I was having similar issues, swapped in another cluster, problem went away but yesterday while driving this speedo started doing funny stuff

drove it today and didn't have any problems.. damn clusters!

They are so frusterating! AHHHH! Its kinda hard for me to find one here in KC. The only Eg's in junkyards are the ones without tachs. Im going crazy!

Take the speedo out and re-sauder the connections, that fixed mine...the sauder cracks over the years.

you can get their cluster and swap speedo's

thats a good call! I didnt even think about that. Ive took that whole thing apart and cleaned it, but nothing! Whatever, ill just buy a new one. haha
