#76043 my car seems likes it wants to bog out so i figured i would check the rotor and buttons in my distributor but when i took off the cap i noticed a liquid inside. the seal is fine but it looks like the liquid it coming from inside. any suggestions on what it could be and how to fix it.

#76044 Get a new one. they are cheap anyway, only like $40 for a cap and rotor at the most. may as well get a new one while it's off

#76051 I would agree with Gorveatt, the rotor and cap won't cost much and it's better to sort it now, then cause further damage.

#76057 i replaced everything. it was oil from the shaft in the distributor. i needed to replace the ring. thanx though!

#76226 Don't assume that the ring will fix the problem. Check it again after you've driven the car. I had that problem recently with oil inside the cap. I replaced the ring but it still leaked. What happens is the distributor shaft gets out of round.
