Clock and radio resetting?

hey guys, my clock and radio keep resetting its self everytime i turn the car on.

how do i fix this? i think its got something to do with the previous owner doing a budget job of installing the head unit??..

any help will be good. cheers

Its one of your fuses.
Most likely the 7.5Amp fuse under the hood is blown, its called the ECU Backup fuse, also powers Radio and Clock Memory.

Check and see whether he wired the radio's constant power to accessory.

Radios have a red and a yellow power input. Yellow is constant. Red is accessory (loses power with key off).

The Civic's constant is white/blue and the accessory is yel/red. And yes the clock, cig lighter, and radio share the same circuit.

If you don't feel comfortable then take it to best buy. I used to fix these kinds of problems all the time when I worked there.
