DIY c-pillar, front and rear strut bars?? any links or info?

So Ive been thinkin about trying to make a few of these things but I dont even know where to start. Any info from anyone would be great. :D

Are you talking about fabbing them yourself? I know how to install them, but fabbing them? you've got me hung.


Wouldn't it be a whole lot easier to just buy them?

Yes, I would like to make them myself. Im really good with metal fab and welding, I just dont know specifications the bars should have...

and yes it would be easier to just buy them but wouldnt EVERY DIY be easier to just buy the stuff or have someone else do it for you? I would like to make them for the fun of it :wink:

i like the way you think! haha i made my 2 of my strut bars. Lower rear, and c-pillar.

you should buy 1 and get all the info you need from it make 1 or 2 test them out and make a few more for tegs but make to where the bar is a few inches back so the back seat passenger's head wont touch the bar on the C pillar

this is the c-pillar one. its not as rigid as i would like it to be, but it still looks good. :thumb:

Thanks for the pics homie, Ya that C-pillar doesnt seem to sturdy, and ive never seen one bolted there... :thumb: for the diy though!!

So I have some plans to make front in rear tower strut braces, just have to go buy the material! I will post up the results when im done and if yall like'em I could possibly make a few for cost of materials or something :hehe: STAY TUNED (in more ways than one LOL) :P

Those brackets on the c pillar scare me.

I have the same brace that you show in the second picture, the bottom one. I can get that thing insanly rigid
