Are struts really worth the money?

One of my friends swears by aftermarket struts with lowering springs, says the struts made a night and day difference in the handeling. My other buddy says stay with the oem honda ones if they arent blown.. Says he had some expensive adjustable ones (forget the brand) and said he barely noticed a difference and felt it a huge waste of money. Opinions?

I rocked stock struts with Sk2 lowering springs with my last hatch for 2 years and never blew any strut and it was a fantastic ride/handling! I would say its probably hit or miss.....

it really depends on what brand you want. I've ridden on stock shocks and ebay coils before and they aren't bad unless your shocks are blown, then they suck and the ride is bumpy. Not all setups are super expensive. Basically you get what you pay for. I'm going to be putting d2's on my hatch when I have the money. I heard they're a good setup. Kinda depends on how low you wanna ride and what you are using the car for..track..show..daily.

it's an ideal time to replace them... even if it is something cheap like the Tokico HP's for a couple hundred bucks... much better than OEM.
