yes this actualy happened to me in my work truck it was a 99 f150 and the shop forgot to put the second bolt in on the passanger side caliper so im drivin down the road and hit the brakes hard the caliper flew off the roter and smacked my rim put a hole right in that bad boy so i got to sit on the side of the road for a good hour and a half waitin on a roll back cause u all know real men dont carry spares   so yes i would put a bolt in there asap

lol cant tell u how many times ive seen people come in and say my brakes are making weird noises.. i just did my brakes too..

i take a look and its missing the bolt and cailper fucked up the rim, pads, and the cailper just got a weight reduction.. lol.. funny too most the time its fords for some reason..

just in case anyone was wondering about it. im going to take pictures of it right now. ill be back in 15 mins.

EDIT: im back. heres the pics and my girls camera in action lol.

where i think the second bolt should be circled in red...

heres a better further back pic of both spot where i think the bolts should be. the top one is a sleeve which after you unbolt the bottom you swing the caliper up then back to take it off.

also noticed the lca ( :? ) bushing circled in blue is toast!

looks to me like its supposed to be like that. i dunno im prolly just an idiot.
damn that rim is rusty eh? lol!

#105313 na your all set.. just havent seen that on our years before..

but that ball joint might be toast.. with the boot open like that it get drity and fails.. chould cause the shake 100%. Put a jack under the lower control arm and put a pry bar under the tire and pry up.. see if there is play.. if its really bad you can do it with your hands by puting your hands 12:00 and 6:00 and pushing in and out. it should be no movement if good..

if thats not it then im guessing its rotors.. you chould have a shop check them for out of round and maybe resurface them..

i have a cx with no abs.. stock brakes (except for rear disc) and i have two bolts..

nothing to worry about you just have a different cailiper i guess makes it easeir with brake jobs =D :thumb:

circled in blue are your caliper bolts as block said ur all good as for the top thing ur looking at that u cant fit a screw in if u take ur tire off there will be a bolt on the other side and is how u take the caliper apart to change ur pads :thumb:

#105317 what u circled is the cailiper bracket.. the bolt smoking circled is the cailper slids.. either of those missing bolts is bad news.. but smoking has a different slide for the top. still holds it in place just makes it easy to change pades.

um theres no bolt on the outer side to change out the pads. i took the one bolt out the back, lifted and slide off the caliper and the pads pretty much fell out lol.

yea shits tit.. when u change rotors just take off the bolts he circled and hit the rotor with a big hammer.. if u still have the phillips screws that hold ya rotors on u might wanna buy a impact driver or heat them bitches up they suck. (if u have them)
