Hey guys, this friday I'm going to be replacing my tires w/ 185/65 or 60 R14. I have gotten a few prices but I wanted to see which tires you guys would recommend. I'm only looking to spend $350 MAX. My initial quotes were for some Nexens, Goodrides, and Starfires. Are these any good? People have given mixed reviews for the Goodrides and Nexens. Thanks.
P.S. they will be going on stock steelies

I got a set of 4 Falken Ziex ZE-912 for $240 and they have been great tires.
Search for them on google, places still sell them for $60 each, then figure $40 shipping. = $300 total + another 40 to mount & balance.

nexen is a good tire, formally capitol tires. i have a set of capitol n5000's(same as the nexen N5000) 185/65r14 on my steelies and they do great. as for the goodrides i would recommend not to get them unless thats all you can afford. they are a 40k tire and dont have the greatest wet traction. the nexen is a 60k and handle well in the wet. as far as the starfires i dont know only dealt with a few sets of them.

Thanks guys for all the great websites/responses
Does anyone know the max width of a tire for a steelie? The places I go to don't tell me they don't fit, just that they wouldn't recommend it.
Any different tire size suggestions?
