something i was going to try when i was skint but the missus bought me some wheels... she loves me



looks good though, might dig out my steelies and give it ago.

So, do you need the "wheel paint" to paint your steelies or can you just use regular spray paint? Also, how do you get the rims to polish up that well?? I guess you could use a dremel and lots of patience.... I'd actually like to try this.

Okay, never mind about the polishing question, I just noticed the thread. My bad..

actually, for painting a colored lip, you could use something like Duplicolor Metalcast paint: http://duplicolor.com/products/metalcast.html

This will keep the lip looking polished and not flat like if you painted it with normal paint. Even if you want the lips to look like regular polished, still put a coat of clear on them so they don't rust. (bare steel will rust right away)

haha yeah i never thought about that either... it does look pretty nice...

yeah they are 15 in. steelies. and i put old school chrome trim rings on the wheels.

seen it alot looks sweet on some motors spesh old skl!

I have never seen this done before on steels, looks the bomb. I was thinking of painting a red lip on my Slip's. After I bought them I found out they sell them with red lips, grr.
