wheel size...

I am a noobie to the eg game and have fallen in love  as most of us have. I recently got my first eg, a 92 cx, and a friend of mine gave me a set of wheels that he no longer wanted. They are a really nice wheel, but I am not sure if they are right for the eg. They were free, but I had to replace 1 tire and have a crack fixed. They are Giovanna G-racing Kyotos with Falken Ziex tires (80-90% tread). I love the style, but they are 18s off of his accord. They seem a bit large to me, but free is almost too good to pass up. Please give me some feed back on if I should just run them for a little while or replace them with a set of 16s or 17s. I haven't had any major problems with rubbing, only when I turn the wheel as far as it will go in a u-turn and then its not much.
I just want to be careful because my best friend gave them to me and I don't want to just turn around and sell them. He paid about $2500 for them a few years back and could have easily sold them for money, but gave them to me instead. Anyhow, I immediately found myself some skunk2 coil overs in order to drop down the height of the car and help make the wheels look not so big. I also plan on putting a lip kit on to help lower the profile of the car.

Give me a yay or a nay!

IMHO your eg looks like a truck. Way too big, but free is free. Id stick with 15's, 16's the most!

I'd sell them and but a set of 15" or 16" at the most if you like the bigger wheel look.

Those on there now are really slowing your car down. Swap them for a set of lightweight 15" and you'll notice a difference in performance.

yeah I know these are big. beleive me. But I def am a fan of the bigger 16" size over 15". I think I will look into either some Work, Volk or maybe just the 99-00 SI wheels. I think I will just roll these though until I do my tear down and rebuild next summer. That way I wont be rude and just turn around and sell them.

A nice set of Enkei's would set your car off.

I actually found a set of Enkei J10s that I really like... affordable and somewhat light weight. I think I am sold.
:headbang:

checked out your ride too, really clean. love it! I want mine that clean.

damn man you take it off any sweet jumps? lol dude those got to go. get some 16s if ya into a bigger style. i got 15s on mine and had 17s. bigggggggggggggggg diff in performance. faster exseleration and rotational mass wont take as long to slow down like those 18s. there nice rim just to big if they were 16s your car would look just right. i say sell them and buy new ones.

LOL RC CAR---- true but they were free and will pay for the right wheels down the road when I sell them.

The 13" steelies had brand new tires on them and they handled like ass... hated them, these at least grip the road better when it rains.

ya my friend has big ass 18s on his 92 prelude. it has no upgrades on suspension. has heavy bodykit and a muffler. and he can go round some turns so fast. whats the rim width? 205? or 215? his are 215 i think. but ya its true the more rubber on the ground the better your traction.
