#189604 I used plastic spacers from the hardware store they worked real good. I used the one inch spacer with 1 1/4 inch bolts with washers

#189633 on the hood, putting them on the body would push the hood out more

#189820 ok i can say something about this i grew up on the old school american muscle and the reason i did it is to let the hot air out from under the hood. when the car is idling and you stand next to the car when the fan kicks on you can feel the hot air blowing out from under the hood. now a lil 1/4 ing lift is not going to do anything thats why i put a 1inch lift on it. i dont know if it was a fad when i did it but i did it due to the fact that the cowl hood was to let hot air out and cold air in. here is a link to a magazine artical that i got at home and i had the prop before this came out.

just do what you want and dont let anyone stop you its your car not anyone elses

#190008 whoa, i have missed out on a lot.. but, i think it's pretty much pointless unless you're in desperate need of airflow.

#190206 i did mine for looks. i see tons of civics with them spaced. if you like it do it if you dont then dont do it. the main reason i heard why its done is for drifting. they space the hood to alow airflow into the enginebay wile at hard drift.
