i always thought the rear one looked different ??? like a panel that covered the rear part but had like a hole for the tow hook??

That is a nice piece!
See I don't know why I couldn't make something like that 8)
I would like to have something like that up front and something similar on the rear, and see what a difference it makes.

I may add this to my list of winter projects!

yea lol looks like something any of us can mock up if just have the time and the resources could make a nice project

#29707 I see them in every pic too, impossible to tell if they are HID or not unless you get a better shot of the bulb or find the ballasts somewhere.

#29709 To retrofit like that and use halogen is dumb, and those fluted lens's block SOOO much light too :(

#29750 I've had a VX rear diffuser on my DX for the past couple of years. I got it from majestichonda.com. It has three clamps and one of those plastic panel screws that expands when they're screwed in. The diffuser helped me get 41mpg highway with my D16Z6 automatic. I'm selling that car though. My new VX already has the rear diffuser.

If you have a wide oval muffler, don't even worry about the passenger side. At the speeds that airflow matters back there, it's not going to go up into the little gaps around the muffler but just shoot right by.

I would recommend against cutting holes in the rear bumper. You can easily create lift by doing that. If you're serious, why not just remove the rear bumper for the 1/4?

All of those aftermarket diffusers in the first post are BS except for the STI. You want to have the rear diffuser at a certain angle slope and you want those separators a certain distance apart. I forget the actual figures but they're well documented.

#29752 good info :thumb:
I have a thermal exhaust so the muffler fills in the right side somewhat more than a fart can, but a little less than stock.
I'm gonna get the VX diffuser and call it a day. :)
