Driver Side door problem

So just to start off here guys, this is my 1st post (yay) i know :)

My name is Alex! i live in Washington, i like long walks on the. . .
lol just kidding,

anyway, so i picked up a EG6 today! (will post pics when its not raining, its Washington... >_>)

This is not my 1st car, i did have a GSR before this (95)

The car is pretty clean, its a 94 CX hatch, but the problem im having is the driver side door is'int lined up with the rest of the body, so when i open the door, it kind of bows down, i don't really know how to put it;

When i go to close the door, it does close all the way, but i kinda gotta shove it in, and lift it up in the process, now im just wondering here is if this is an easy fix? is it maybe the door mounts are just bent? and just replace those? or am i going to have to replace the door with a junkyard one?

Anyway, any help would be absolute loved.
Many cheers.
Alex

Welcome to Civic EG, I am a Fellow Washingtonian as well, I must say I have been to kent and it sucks to own an import there with all the cops cracking down on street racing. The Cops will make your life suck just becouse of having a EG, I got a $1064 Ticket up there for "Failure to Yield to an emergency vehicle" i.e. a Police officer, Even though I pulled over, slowed down and left tons of room for him to pass. Thankfully I got a lawyer and had it reduced to much less, Still a BS Ticket :x

Anyways Rants aside, Welcome to Civic-Eg, We are a pretty cool bunch of people on here. When you get pics of your hatch make a build thread in the Your Ride Section.

On your Door, Try adjusting the hinges, put a jack under the bottom of the door, get it snug, loosen the bolts, jack up a little more, retighten, and see how it closes. If you have someone who can help you he/she could lift the door up for you instead of a jack.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the welcome :) - Kent is not so bad. Sped past a cop today going 60 in a 45.. lol didn't even pull me over, scared the shit outa me tho;

When you mean adjusting the hinges, what do you mean by that? the door support thing with the two bolts on the top? because i cant seem to get anything in their to even loosen them, i tried a wrench, socket, etc.

Any tips?

should be two bolts per hinge but your gonna have to take your fender off to get to em' theres some bolts under the hood one connecting the bumper to the fender and some tricky ones you have to open your door to see, get those with a small extension then you can get to your hinges.

Ahaaaaaaaa so last night, i fixed my door, closes nicely and all.

If anyone else has this problem, and your hinges ANRT bent. this is how to fix it.

You need -
10mm socket wrench
Either another set of hands, or if your car is int really low like mine, possibly a jack. Ide recommend the friend anyway.

Step 1. Remove fender, this makes it soooooo much easier.

Step 2. have friend brace door so it does not fall, slip, bend etc.

Step 3. Loosen all the bolts on the door, So the ones attached to the frame AND the door itself. their should be 8 all together.

Step 4. Have your extra pair of arms raise that door as high as can be, sounds weird, you would think just putting your door in the shut position then tightening the bolts works, it doesn't.

Step 5. Once that door is raised as high as possible, tighten the bolts. tighten them very very snug.

Problem solved! easy as 1,2.3 (4 and 5 are still needed haha)

Anyway if you got question PM me. I know this wright up is not perfect, its my 1st shitty one. :"D
