#185303 Get Aircraft paint stripper...spray it on there and then the paint will just wipe off!

Air you going to re-paint them?? or strip and polish? What do you want the end result to be?

#185654 first clean & degrease them.
Then scuff them lightly with some fine steel wool. Then use a wax & grease remover on them and the paint will be ready to go on!

If you're doing silver, Dupli-Color makes a good silver wheel paint. do a couple light coats, followed by a slightly heavier coat for the last coat.

No need for primer because if you are only scuffing the factory paint, the new paint will bond to it.
No need to strip the factory paint completely, as it usually is bonded well to the cap.

#185818 I'd sand/scuff all the way through the current spray paint, down to the factory paint. you never know how well the last coats of spray paint adhered.

Or worst case scenario, the new paint doesn't last and you paint them again.
