METAL CLASS ??

So i am goin to star my metal class in high school and i was trying to get ideas what i can do to my eg that would be cheap and look good :hehe:

A custom shifter would be pretty sweet, if your class has a lathe :thumb:

Actually, ive been wanting for a while to make something from my car from my senior engineering class, a custom shift nob would be perfect, what type of metal do you figure would be good for this? aluminum? and any ideas on weight, dimensions? etc? design perhaps? any cool ideas on what i can engrave on it (we also have a laser and plasma cutter, with engraver.)

the heavier the material the better, you shoot for a higher gram weight for a shift knob, id look into trying to make it like an itr knob, the have a good feel to them...

My school is small and poor but we can get cool thigs done there anyways that shifter does sounds like a cool idea. haha yeah that jdm central consel thing haha i could do that to.
