Painting Equipment.

right i've got a bit of cash to blow. and thought i'de invest into painting eqiupment
i was just wondering what stuff i need ?

Is it just an Air compressor and a paint gun ?

get a line filter too to catch any moisture in the air going to your gun.

Do some research on paint booth setups too. You'll need a box fan or 2 to pull/push the air out and filters for the incoming air. You can build a decent booth from 2x4's and plastic sheets :thumb:

and a mask of course :hehe:

Yeah i got enough. but i've found out my mates uncle has an air compressor that i could have so i just need that paint gun.

So what else was that i needed ?
a line filter.

yeah it goes between the compressor and the air hose. It it llike a catch can and will remove the moisture/water from the air.

Yea and make sure to get one with a regulator as well, so you can control the pressure you're shooting at. For a mask, I used some Lowes 7 dollar painting mask and it worked okay. As for an area to paint, I did mine in my 2 car garage, just clean it up really good, throw up some plastic sheets on the walls, then wet the floors down and close it up. I really didn't have a problem with dust or anything else getting in my paint. Let me know if you have any other questions.
