So today we decided to get a lil different.

I've wanted to paint the roof of my car black, years of AZ sunshine has taken its toll on my paint, but insted of painting it, we decided to use vinyl. A friend of mine works at a vinyl shop as an installer, and he did an awesome job on my car.

We used 1 big piece of 3M vinyl, 2 piece would've been easier but I didnt want the seam.

This pic is shortly after it was layed.

The 3M stuff is quality vinyl! The piece we used flows really well with the carbon fiber hood and duckbill. It has a tiny diamond pattern in it that you can kinda see in this pic.

The sun was fading in this pic and the pic quality didnt turn out as good as I had hoped. I'll get some fresh pics up tomorrow in daylight, but you get the idea of how it turned out.

Can youre friend make me up a sticker for my whole car? Would be sooooo much easier and cheaper than a respray :lol:

this guy that i know had clear vinyl applied to the front of his NSX..then he didnt have to worry about rocks and bugs chipping his paint...it was a great idea i thought
