if you want glossy black, you will have to do alot of wet sanding & polishing after you hit it with aerosol paint to have it look good.
Flat black will show the dirt. Satin Black would be the way to go if I was going to do it. It is in between flat and glossy.
I'm assuming you're doing it because you like the CF hood look but are on a budget? It is your car and if you like the look then go for it. Just be sure to do a good job so it ends up looking nice
wet sand your hood with 600 grit. If you have any deep scratches or dents, now is a good time to use some body filler & get it smooth. Then clean it with a wax/grease remover. Then primer, then if your primer coat is smooth, paint. if not, then wetsand, clean, and paint.
