What do you think looks best I can't decide.

I have a EJ2 Coupe with a honda standard spoiler on it and I can't decide if I should keep it or loose it.

I have decided I'll put it to the vote and which ever one wins I'll do.

so get voting.

Bin thinking this myself only thing I have a problem with is I can't get it off I think its been glued on.

I have taken the 4 screws out of it but it still won't budge and if I try pulling anymore I think I might dent the boot lid/tailgate.

Anyone got any ideas???

Haha, I had the same problem when I took mine off, I pulled so hard it bent the boot brackets holding the boot lid so it wouldn't shut.

The way I did it in the end was use a scaple / knife and cut away the glue by slowly sticking the knife between the spoiler and boot lid.

If you do, do this. Takr your time and be carefull not to get the paint work, well it worked for me but it took time. After you've done most of it, the spoiler should then pull away, but you are left with shitty black sticky crap.

TBH, if you really are going to take the spolier off. Take into mind the work that is required after it's off. Sanding down that sticky crap is a bitch, then filling the holes. Prep and paint. I personally like the clean boot lid look without a spolier, but it's your choice.

Good luck :thumb:

I say unless your getting the car repainted keep it. you don't want 4 holes on the trunk lid do ya?

So if you're painting, lose it

If not, keep it

i may be the only one to think so, but i like the stock spoiler on the coupe. i think it flows nice with the lip on the trunk, thats why i kept on mine!

I was thinking this and would want to get one from the US so it has that JDM style plate holder which you don't get on the UK coupes.

The only thing is I have heard they're real hard to get hold of and finding someone thats willing to send it to the UK makes it even harder again.

If anyone knows of one for sale let me know I have the cash waiting.

Nah the plate holders are easy to get hold of here, see them all the time for sale!! Theyre only about £30

Sending a bootlid would probably damage it unfortunately, try going to some scrapyards - my friend picked up a black ek coup bootlid for £20, in the right colour and barely a mark on it!!

G, keep an eye out for a H/B import bootlid would ya

Oh and when it comes to buying an import style boot lit for a coupe, dont just buy one from the states. You can buy the inner plastic bit from anyone breaking a coupe as that part comes out. I bought mine from eBay.com for £12.
