i am looking into putting two struts under my hood to hold it open. i dont want to wait to get them in the mail and want to do it today. so something from auto zone or pep boys or something but what size would i need to do this and where can i get the ball ends that attach to it? thanks

i don't know where your from, but here in canada, canadian tire sells sells trunk struts, get a small one, and just fab up your own little pieces to hold them.

i now how hard it is to wait but the fitment and the overall look will be much cleaner with a kit in my opinion.
