Where to buy NEW body panels? The search begins!

(In short, where else can I buy OEM body panels for a 92-95 Civic HB?)

Hey everyone. I bought a '93 Civic Si yesterday. Guess what, the rear quarters, outer wheel-wells, and rear portion of the rockers are rusting out. Surprised? Didn't think so.

I'm going to fix this the right way, meaning that I don't want to deal with the rust (at least in these areas), well, ever again. I've reviewed the sticky about "Fixing your Honda rust," and have quite a few concerns. Don't get me wrong, his final results are amazing. However, that much welding provides the perfect breading ground for the brown demon not too far down the road. Rust inhibitors? I'm not a believer, I've used several different brands, all fell below expectations.

My solution is to buy larger panels that require far less welding and will eliminate ALL of the current rust. So, now where can I buy this?

The only option I've found (so far) is: Honda Automotive Parts

You can practically build the body with their supplies. (good luck getting everything lined up)

I'd be buying the 4 and 8, along with the inners (not shown) only for the wheel-wells. This is where I'll really have to bite the bullet.

Does anyone know of another supplier for these body panels?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

(Keep in mind, I have a professional body man on my side, my uncle. There's no way I would attempt this by myself.)

you really dont have to get that whole panel. There are a lot of our over seas hatch friends that replace the rear wheels arcs and some from canada too. I know Teal did his as well. They do make just a rear wheel arc peice that you should get. As for where to get them, I can only hope they see this post. I live in a glorious state where rust isnt a huge problem.

Copy that Graham and you've given me hope Greasedmonkey. Believe me, I will probably spend unjustifiable hours finding these wheel wells. (Here I come google.ca) These should be a hell of a lot cheaper than the $400 per side inner quarter panels.

For everyone's reference, I did actually find other sites selling OEM panels, but the one listed above seems the most legit and cheapest so far.
Other sites selling full replacement body panels:
Bernardi Parts (They claim to beat any price. So, pm them to Honda Auto Parts and your good to go. *Be prepared to have a full quote from Honda Auto Parts and be aware that Honda Auto Parts is pissy about shipping oversized components.*)
South Bay Honda (under inner panel and outer panel)
    Honda Parts Now
Honda Part Deals (under inner panel and outer panel)

I'll post if I find anything, thanks!

www.rustrepair.com

their site sucks, but they're in there. $32.50 per side

212-92-51-L
212-92-51-R

the same ones I used in the "Fixing your honda rust" DIY :thumb:

Hey teal_dx, thanks and I was aware of that site. However, I'm really looking for complete quarter panels. That big of a weld seam is bound to rust somewhere not too far down the road and I'd prefer to use as little bondo as possible.

As far as the sites I mentioned earlier, the east coast is in a pissy mood this morning. Bernardi refused to price match Honda Automotive Parts without a complete quote including shipping. Honda Automotive Parts said that it was impossible to ship such large pieces. lol, wtf? More like he would have to make one more phone call than he wanted to.

South Bay Honda, in norther CA, is now looking like the best option since they are within a few dollars of Honda Automotive parts and claim to ship oversized components every day.

Still searching for outer wheel wells. Thanks for the help!

Thanks. I looked on there, but the only thing I saw was a "Civic 92-95 3 Doors rear wheel edge" with no picture. Is this what you bought? Was this the complete quarter panel?

I've not done my rears yet but as far as I know they're only the repair panels, but I know the UK distributer so will ask him to find out for you.

12tune only do the bit around the arch, not the whole quarter :(

Thanks guys.
I'm good with spending the $800 on the outers, it's the wheel well that's bent me over. If I could find these aftermarket I'd drop $800 off the project. The problem is that the outer WW is originally part of the inner quarter. :(
