My front windshield wipers are hitting really hard on the bottom and also on the side?? jw what caused this and how do i fix it?

Just undo the nut on the bottom, pull the wipers off and put them back on in a different position, just keep trying till they dont hit anything!

But it hits when its goes down and when it goes up, so how is adjusting it a different way going to fix it?
