Is it possible to do? What all needs to be done? Is it a halfway decent job to do?

I think it's better if it's done by professionals since it needs cutting out your roof. I have no sunroof too, so I'm also wondering how and how much it will cost.

I stripped a moon roof out of an EG9 the other week and there were lots of mounting points all over the roof pannel.
If I were you before you start cutting I would look to see if they are there as I know with some models they just didn't add parts they weren't gonna use for the model such as the mounting points

great idea but for some reason aint many in the junk yard with the sunroof. any body have pics of the mounting points. so I know what I am looking for before I buy the complete Sunrooof assembly since I can get it dirt cheap. what do I need anyway just the roof skin.

my old coupe was a dx and it had an aftermarket sunroof..I loved it except whoever owned it last cut the headliner instead of buying the ex one :-/ and I didn't have a motor or crank for the sunroof so it had to be opened with a flathead screw driver lol..but if you wanna get one just go to a junk yard and pull one off an ex or if you wanna go hella legit and spend some money buy an oem one from majestic honda

I know of a guy that Cut the roof off an SI around the roof trim and then did the same to his dx... all he did was sit it in place of the old roof and weld it in and then shaved the trim.... looks pretty good and hasn't leaked yet that i know of... He put the si head liner in and wired it all up... seems to work...

did this to my car a few years back since my roof looked like garbage with all the rust.
you need to have someone who is experienced at installing these.
got mine off an EG9. never regret installin one!
no leaks and no rust. too bad i dont have pics of the roof removed.
Moonroofs by Webasto is another good alternative but most say its prone to leaks when poorly installed
