I decided to spray paint my fenders and bumper since they were trash. well I did one fender it looked excellent except I sanded through the edges by mistake when buffing it. so I stripped it and painted it again with the bumper. Now I painted in a shed at about 70F

I painted like 5 coats after the primes then about 3-4 light coats of clear. The paint feels like sandpaper , its gritty and dull. What am I to do?

wet sand and then clear some more like 3 or 4 layers then wet sand again and then clear 3 or 4 more layers and then buff at a really low speed

something high like 1200 or 1500 depending on the amount of orange peel. then keep moving up in the grit to 1500, then 2000, then buff :thumb:

Its not orange peel it feels like overspray or little bits of sand everywhere

then try the 2000 grit for a little bit. drop down to 1500 if you need to but I don't think you will.

Sounds like dryspray - you didnt spray enough on basically. Will take a while to sand using 2000, if i were you id use 1200 - 1500 first then see how it looks and judge whether you need to paint it again or not
