lol ^^^^ nah...

I think the structural integrity of the chassis will be compromised if you cut the roof out.
I'd look at Del Sol's chassis and see what kind of extra bracing they have.

If you wanted a targa top i'd just sell what you have and get a Sol

Stop ripping on him guys, This isn't honda-tech.
First off which civic are you going to make a targa? a Hatch? Sedan? Coupe?

Its not the best idea, you will have to brace the bottom alot, Even after that it still wouldn't be as strong as it is with its top on.

If you do want a Targa, I would recommend selling whatever civic you have and Get a Delsol. That way you still have a vehicle that wont leak, has great handling and you wont be afraid of dieing if you get into a Car Wreck.

Something like this?! I suppose it can be done, if you know what your doing.

I would do it on a beat up civic or shell before you do it on your good civic imo.

I thought of this awhile ago as well but quickly did a photoshop of something id do and it pretty much looked like the above example and i definately didnt like it save yourself the trouble and either get a porsche 914, del sol, or nsx lol and call it a day too much work and money and effort to make something look horrible

Thats worse then aweful.

If your going to make a civic targa, Please dont do it to a hatch, it just looks wrong. The Delsol looks good as a targa, Probably the only EG that would look good as one.

If you want to make one, thats your call. I dont see how you would make one that would look good though. If you plan on going through it i highly recommend trying it on a junkyard/cheap sedan or coupe before you do it on your good car.
