to polish or paint

so im debaiting whether i should polish my oil pan or if i should paint it im gonna paint my block and head vivid blue so if it was polished it would really stand out down there . let me know what you guys think.

plus isn't it steel? ( i know d16y5 had an aluminum one)
So it would rust if it got wet. Even if you cleared it it would get rock chips and still rust.

Yessir. When I took my pan off and cleaned it I smeared silicone over the rust spots. Ugly, but noone will see it.

no i just have the motor out so i thought ide try a few different ideas and this is a car that will never see a rainy day once i get it done cause i have two other cars that i can drive so im not really all that worried about rain .but i will admit i didnt think about getting rock chips so i' ll paint it . thanks for the good advice guys.
