I took it off on my last car and broke the clips on it. I could never get it back in place and had carpet flopping around ever since. I want to keep things looking nice this time. What's the proper way to remove this piece? Does it slide a certain direction first? Or simply pulls off?

I'm trying to get to my Ecu. I need to change it as part of my swap. All input appreciated :)

I'm not sure what you mean about the center console. I have mine out right now though. I'm going to try popping it off gently. Thanks for the response

Use a panel popper. Plastic sets are cheap on amazon, or you can get the polished Snap On tool. I have both and use them extensively. Slide it under the running board and find the clip, then pry up carefully right alongside it. Repeat for each of the clips. If any of the metal clips come off the running board, you have to get them out of the car side without wrecking them, and slide them back on the plastic clip. They can be very difficult to get out and I don't have a great method of doing it.

Here are the parts since someone asked recently at club integra http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....roup_ID=675775

I used a thin screwdriver to pry it up, not ideal but works
