What will i be needing to swap out?
Posted: Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:42 ami have a 1995 civic dx d15b7, and am wanting to swap a d16z6 vtec into it, will i be needing to get a different ecu thats the biggest question i need?

Posted: Tue Oct 06, 2009 2:05 amif the 93 Civic happens to be a EX Trim Sedan or Coupe or a Si trim Hatchback, then yes. if not then no.
Its a very simple swap. You can reuse all your mounts. You will have to wire in VTEC, however its rather simple. The Mini-me DIY Article mentions how to do that.
If You havn't already bought your d16z6 swap then I would recommned getting a JDM D15b VTEC(not vtec-e, but VTEC) or a JDM ZC VTEC as given they only have 30k on them they are most likely in better shape then any d16z6 you get your hands on State side.
