Greetings my fellow EG fanatics. I am, as you may have guessed, new (understatement of the century) to this site. I am the not-so-proud owner of a BONE-STOCK 1994 EG sedan. Okay...I take retract the previous statement. What I mean is, it isn't totally stock if you count the FastCar Magazine UK-spec band-ade that graces the right quarter panel, the Autozone special short-ram intake, or the $3.25 specialty graffiti-style paintjob compliments of Sharpie Markers, boredom and a few select friends. The car is running a junkyard-spec D16y7 and a really tempermental auto tranny (cue booing and hissing). If any of you could possibly help my mis-treated and underpowered pride-and-joy it would be much appreciated. Until then, I will be sending pics to the Sharpie corporation for hopeful sponsorship and running around the northeast Indiana area. Thank you SO VERY MUCH!

Hello again. First of all, thank you so much for welcoming me to the site. It feels go to know that I am, for once, accepted. (even if it is for having the same platform that everyone else here has) I will work on getting some pics up as soon as possibly can, and I hope you all enjoy the band-ade. I noticed one of you asked me the important question of what I want out of my EG. Well...in all actuality, I want to kind of do my own thing while incorporating different aspects of the JDM, SPOCOM(small portons), and hardcore Street genres. This might sound stupid, but I kinda want to stick with the SOHC and automatic set-up. (just so I can rub that in peoples faces once I get enough power to school them) I mean really, getting beat by a four-door is bad enough. Getting beat by one equipped with a built SOHC and a slushbox?!? My only question about this though is, should I even bother? What's the maximum you could get out of a SOHC motor? maybe I should just save up for a motor/tranny swap. What do you think I should do? I need ideas!!! (for EVERYTHING!)

the SOHC isn't a bad idea, but the slush box is going to be the bottle neck in your setup. Having converted my automatic civic to a manual, I can say it is a HUGE difference! They say 1 second in the 1/4 mi.
I am pretty sure there is a company making aftermarket torque converters for the automatics though....
