i have a 93 hatch with a h22a1, it has headers exhaust, msd coil, and a wet 70 shot, i really dont no that much about the car cause i just got it. there is a guy i no with a 02 gt mustang with 373 gears and drag radials, and he wants to race for $900, should i do it?

if you just got the car, I'd drive it for a while and get used to it. I'd get to a drag strip sometime and see what kind of times it is running

you can also gut your interior to lose some weight, that will help you out a little more

Do a compression test on the motor. If the motor's still healthy, I do believe you'll take him. Chances are he's gonna walk you out of the hole, but you should catch, and pass him somewhere around 3rd gear.

But I wouldn't bet any cash till you know your car inside and out.

haha, serious, I think you will be able to be faster....also depends on your driving skills off course.

i would only race someone for money if i knew without a doubt that i could beat them plus when your racing for a large amount of money theres more pressure so you have the chance of making mistake and a big enough mistake and your out all that money

well he only runs an 8.6 in a 1/8 on motor 7.90 on spray. i was jus wonderin cause i dont no if the h22 hatch will do that good in an 1/8. any ideas on what time i will run? not trying to sound big headed but i drive pretty good i have been running on the track for 2 years now.

What kind of times are you running??

i dont no i have not had it on the track what i was asking is what is a round about time you think it will run.

In a 1/4 mile I'd say you'd have a chance, but in the 1/8.........I just dont think so .........definately not for money.

i agree with him 100%....get used to the car and get a little familiar with it b4 you race for $$$.
i remember in my eg i was on a main street and i stoped at the stop light some mustang pulls next to me and thinks he is cool and starts revin the shyt out of his car. the light turns green and i just demolished this guy....left him in the dust. he pulls next to me at the next light and he is like wow that thing pulls pretty good for a lil honda wat you got in there...i was just like oh just a lil 4 cylinder ....lol

well i raced him today just for fun and i should have done it for the money i put 3 cars on him
