Civic EG

Hi i have an eg9 imported from japan. I live in the USA and i would like to recharge the ac system. My question is the system r12 or r 134. the car is a 93. I believe in the USA the 92-93 were r12 and the 94-95 were r134, not sure if its the same over sea's . Is there anywhere on the vehicle i could check? Sorry I'm new to ac i usually just tear them out lol. Thanks

should be on the passenger side shock tower, and the hood.
that's where mine was.

if you can take it to a shop and they have a a/c identifer that tell the tech what is in the ac lines

but you can check the rubber hoses and they should say r134a if they are
but since u have a eg9 and its rare as fuk in the usa, id take it to a shop and do it the rite way unless u have a set of gauges and know the specs that shit from autozone or ur local auto store can acutally fuk the ac system up

look at the recharge hook ups. if they are thread type it is r12. if it is a quick connect style then it is r134.

or if its a quick release screwed on, then u have r134a that was retrofitted from r12
