Took out my seats to clean the carpet and saw this plug.
Any idea for what it is/was?

yup, its the plug for the seat belt light, plug it under your SEAT...and its OEM

kinda confused me a bit thinking that its on the passenger side (of coarse your car is rhd) so thusly like previous people have said its jsut the seatbelt warning light factory oem
