Just got my eg from the shop and that yellow light on the panel that goes out before you start the car. whats that excatly for? and mine just doesnt go off anymore. my mechanic says its nothing to worry bout. just want to know from experienced drivers. thanks!

Do you mean the Check engine light?
If it is staying on while the engine is running then there is something wrong.

If this light is on and your mechanic told you not to worry about it sounds like its about time to find a new mechanic.
