Exhaust smoke

Hey guys, hope someone can help me out here. I just got my hands on a 92 4dr EX. Got the D16Z6 of course and I am getting alot of smoke out the back when the RPM's get up around 5k. Only when VTEC kicks in though. The car only has 150k miles but wasn't taken care of. If anyone could shed some light, that would be great. Thanks!

what color smoke? if its blue I'd say rings or valve train. If its white head gasket.

It's blue/grey, sometimes looks a little darker. I was thinking maybe valves sticking just because it ONLY does it when VTEC kicks in. It doesn't smell or smoke at all before that.

Do you guys think it will last at least a few months? I want a B16 but will have to wait a little bit.
