- Tue Nov 24, 2009 4:59 pm #158175 iv got a 1995 coupe and the oil light came on yesterday but then went away again. did the same to day but this time it lost power stalled and now when i turn it over it just clicks. does this sound like a siezed engine to anyone? the oil level is top limit tho

- Tue Nov 24, 2009 5:51 pm #158184 Take off your A/C and P/S belts and try to crank it over. I've seen A/C compressors lock up and hold a damn 7.3l PowerStroke diesel still.

Could be your oil pump failed. You wouldn't have any indication of it in the oil level. Drain the oil into a large, empty, clean container and look for metal shavings.

I'm leaning toward the oil pump because you said your oil pressure light came on. That light only comes on when there is zero or near zero pressure in your oiling system...

it was the oil pump got it unseized but think it might of done some damge to the shells
