ok it was raining i had no where to go i could not sit a the stop light and wait for it to stop so into the puddle i went. therefore i sucked up water through my coldair intake... i took my sparkplugs out cranked it over and purged the water out but as i was purging the crank just STOPED. now when i turn the key the engine just goes click and does not turn over i sprayed lube down the spark plug holes before i started cranking so i was not dry cranking any ideas on this? do i now need to rebuild my engine or is there some way to get it out of vapor lock?

update i think i just figured out why the engine wont turn over anymore. when i turn it over by hand at the crank i can only go but so far before i feel it contact the oilpan. and i noticed that the oil pan is now dented after the tow i just recived. so tomorrow night i will drop it and see if i get shit falling out of my engine or if its just a quick fix. but fellas is there a low profile oil pan arround ??? i mean my car is kinda low and already had some dents in the pan so just asking for future referance. and why after i was already cranking the engine would it suddenly stop this is still getting to me unless there is just something much bigger in problem land than i can see at this time

a slimmer pan would require a custom oil pickup as that are located at the bottom of the pan. You have to go through a pretty deep puddle to hydrolock an engine with a CAI... Like a foot of water.
I hope the damage isn't too bad but it sounds like you are not going to have a good day when you pull the oil pan off :(

yeah teal it was about 6 inches of water just enough to touch my filter on the intake. but i dont know what happened first the quarter sized HOLE in my block or the hydrolock.. thats right i said it. when i got home today i went to drop the oil pan and noticed a hole when a flash light is put up to it i can see my internals so :eh: ...... well at least now i get the option to go turbo lol from the ground up

no the rod didnt go through. to be honest i dont know whats the deal like i said the holes like about the size of a quarter but all the rods are connected to the crank still so wtf. i assume the pressure of the water being introduce to the system what since that makes but i dont have any other ideas ill post a pic up so u all can see

if you look close it even cracked the mold on the outside of the block above the hole
