Black pepper is to fine to use but the bad thing about the egg is after it stops leaking then you got an egg in your block,head,hoses,and then the radiator then you might have to do a flush on the coolant system so its not worth it

its been known to help and sometimes stop small leaks yes... not a perm. fix tho
