I believe that my car I just purchased has been through a swap. The problem is that it has to crank for some time before it fires. I even put it in the on position first to let the fuel system pressurize. Is this a swap problem? Has anyone experienced/ fixed this problem? Thanks in advance

Hmm after the car is warmed up does it still take a long time to fire?

Fires quicker but only slightly. Another interesting detail is tht first crank it will fire if I pump the gas pedal (still takes a bit of time), but if I crank it, stop, then re crank, it fires right up like it is supposed to. I have even tried to leave the key in the on position prior to first crank to let the fuel pressure pressurize. This did not seem to make a difference.

Can you here the fuel pump prime every time? Should make a humming noise then your turn the key to on.
