got my car road ready but smells really bad

I finally put it on the road runs fine no problems at all, but it smells when im driving and put my windows down could it be a bad cat or something dont want to put my kiddo in there as it gave me a headache after a while. any thoughts on what it can be?

Is it a gas smell, exhaust smell? What did you do/change on the car before you got it back on the road?

smells like an exhaust to be honest car was running before i put on the road didnt change anything.

well mods the car has b18 with b20 head stage c2 cams and a 2.5 inch exhaust it smells alot towards front of car im thinking it may have a leak near the front end when windows are closed there is no smell in car only when windows are down and then it begins to come in car.

Does it have an aftermarket vented catch can? Is all emissions equipment in place such as the charcoal canister?
