D15B7 oil problems

Hello everyone and thank you for a great forum! I'm new to this forum from finland. I have a little problem with my D15B7 engine, it uses very much oil, I can't pinpoint any certain places where it might leak. Exhaust gases look like normal so it shouldn't burn the oil at least ? Does anyone have any ideas ?

IF it uses it and its not leaking anywhere its burning it. valve seals?

Sounds reasonable. Tomorrow I can start opening the engine, so I will found out tomorrow. Would it be wiser to just take the whole engine out and six it or replace it if the problem is bigger than that ?

Nice, that is good idea. I check the compression before I explode the whole machine

might as well do a leak down test too, to see where its going.

So basically just so much testing as possible before rushing to conclusions? It surely is much smarter and possibly time and moneysaving. Any other testing I might be able to do ?
