why is it important to get an aluminum radiator?
mine is cracked right now and i have a cai. does it matter if i get an oem?

A aftermarket will cool your car ALOT better, way better cooling motor runs better.
and looks nice !!

Aftermarket means better cooling and generally the fins are made of a better material than the OEM. An aluminum has a better life span and aids the cooling of your coolant better in contrast to OEM. Colder coolant = better engine performance = better efficiency

a radiator out of a Integra Type R. its probly easier to find a aftermarket aluminum one instead. i just have a half size oem that works fine but seeing as you need to replace it might as well go with something nice.

No it's not, and there's no benefit to doing so.
