can i put a JDM vtec soleniod off a b16a on my y8 head?? cause i know that before i got the b16 soleniod my b16a was runnin good witha y8 soleniod on it haha :lol:

also would it perform better? or just as good or what? if i cannot put that on my d-series will it work better than the usdm soleniod on my buddies b16a3?

Yes you can use the b16
Solenoid and your d16. They are the same.

But no, it won't give you any extra power.
There is no better, stronger vtec solenoids.

The power you feel when vtec pops its not from the vtec solenoid its actually from the cams.

Yeah will defo fit, i got given the seals for a b16 from Honda by mistake but they fitted my d series fine!!

The VTEC solenoid is just an oil-filled switch.
