i just bought my 95 ex mt on sunday from some guy for 1600

today i (california) smogged it and it didnt pass because

1. timing is off
2. the previous owner pulled the bulb out of the check engine light

i am a new member and this is my first post. if theres other threads out that relate to my question i would appreciate a link or straight up advice

i tried searching the forum but way too may results come up

Then fix your timing. If your still rocking the stock D16z6 SOHC VTEC Engine your car comes with, then its 3' before top dead center, Use a Timing light and dial it in so you can pass your smog test.

or you could move out of Cali.

ive never done that before
