I've been looking on eBay/craigslist to get a general idea about how much to have saved up for my set up, b20vtec, but not being a mechanic and never working on that part of the car....I'm sort of lost.

I see so many different people say 'complete' and they have different items there. So what do I look for when I buy the vtec head that I'll need? What would I search for for a b20 bottom end? I put 'b20 bottom end' and never get any results, so I'm guessing it goes by something else. Also, what does that need to include for the swap?

I plan on buying aftermarket intake manifold and header, so I don't need those anyways.

What you should be doing is searching for engine importers local to you, then browsing their websites for the engine you want. Shop around. Decide what you want.

Try "long block" or just "block".
