First Start up in over a year

this is my first time starting up my eg6 in over a year
i will be starting it this friday and i want to know what to look/check for

for example
draining gas, oil, coolant... anything else?
what else should i do?

ive never drained oil or gas or worked on an eg6 before so DIY will come in usefull :)

honestly i just want my baby up and running

to change the oil is like on any other car, there's a drain plug and put it in the valve cover. The oil filter is on the back of the block, you can get to it from going under the car.

There is a petcock on the bottom of the radiator for the coolant to be drained.

When you fill it, fill it in the radiator, not the overflow tank.

After you fill it, start the car and get the engine warm. The thermostat will open and the coolant level will go down. keep topping off the radiator every time the coolant level goes down. this will eliminate air bubbles. You may need to give it a tiny bit of throttle to get to a temperature where the thermostat will open, it helps too have a buddy watch your temp gauge if you're doing it for the first time. :thumb:

I would spend $15 on a manual if you want to know how to do everything to the car, best investment ever :woot:
