#239639 need help passing visual inspection, i dont have smog check or strict smog laws in my county, but i do needa pass a visual inspection of my emmisions equipment under the hood.

i have my charcoal canister all disconnected and i need help hooking it back up. ( i bought it this way) theres two hoses on top and one on the bottom??

also i have a question about this no name intake, theres a tube hose sticking out not connected to anything. can i just plug it?

one more question, and that nipple thats on the vavle cover(b16) where does that hook up to? can i just leave it the way it is?

heres a pic, doesnt show much though :(

and random question, i still have no idea what kind of intake manifold i have yet even what kind of throttle body i got. i have no FITV, i have two hoses sticking out not connected to anything too. i do have a bad bouncing idle when cold and a loud vacuum noise when the throttle opens up, doesnt have a bouncing idle ever even when cold only until i open the throttle and the vacuum noise starts, but i can stabilize the idle by putting my finger on the IACV hole choking my engine, then the vacuum noise and bouncing idle stops when i take off my finger and idles normal. i dont kno why that happens :?

but anyways any input is appreciatted :D

#239648 The hole on your valve cover connects to the hole on your intake tube.

That intake manifold doesn't have the tapped hole for the solenoid mount, so you'll need to get a solenoid and tap the little nipple on the back/top of the intake manifold to mount it. That solenoid has a vacuum input and an output, one goes to your charcoal canister and the other will need to be T'd into your fpr vacuum hose.

Another hose goes from your charcoal canister to a vacuum line on the top of your throttle body. If the engine is JDM or OBD2, that line may not be there so you'll have to get a different throttle body.

On top of the charcoal canister itself if you clean it off and look very closely you'll see labels to which line goes where.

Or if the engine is OBD2 you can get yourself an OBD2 charcoal canister and wire up the controller.

You can also look at the emissions label on a car that had that engine.

#240348 ok ive done some research and since my motor is jdm it didnt come with the solenoid like suspendedhatch said. i want to switch my throttle body so i can plug a vacuum line for my charcoal canister. which one can u recommend me?? (i dont care about FITV).

i also heard that u can just T 'fit a vacuum line from the canister to the FPR if ur gonna ditch the purge solenoid. i dont care if its effective or not, i just need to pass the visual inspection
