#19860 I am contemplating installing an HID kit in my EJ1.

Not just the cheap "blue-bulb" upgrade.
I am talking about the whole setup with high temp ballast/starter boxes, and upgraded glass projector headlights rated for higher temperatures.
I don't want "blue".... I want white, but more intense, projector beam white.

any thoughts..? or experience in this group?

I love the clean OEM/JDM look, and I don't want to do anything that looks "ghetto".
I suppose I could always try it and go back, if I don't like it.

#19862 i used the plug and play kit...... its better to retro fit it because it looks soo much better and you dont blind people lol if you use the stock housing it tends to be like super bright i guess and like you'll get high beamed....ibet if you use those Denji projector headlights it would probably be a lot better...
www.customlightz.com kinda expensive but its worth it... just look up what they use on your cars like ballast, projectors shrouds etc.... they can be expensive what my buddy did is did a bit of resarch and found what they used on FG civics and bought all that stuff sent it out to them and they do all the work .....

#25453 Got a PNP kit for highs and lows, did them myself, very simple and easy and lighting looks fantastic.

Depends where you get it from though, egay ones are cheap as shit, expect to spend around $150 a kit, you wanna look for Phillips components, parts made in Japan are better than the ones made in China :P

i got the projectors into denji headlights but turns out i made the brackets a little off so the projectors sit a little low at the rear so it aims too high :(

gotta make new brackets again ahahhaha.

It looks good sitting off. but the cutoff is about 3 feet too high at 25ft distance. I even added washers to have a better blue bar at the cutoff line. :)

#25859 Yeah not good, i should be ok for horizontal alignment, cause i am using OEM style headlights, then making a custom shroud. but vertical will be another story
