I thought they said 40 mph, not 60.
Civics aren't known for their safety.
Make sure that roll cage is streetable (doesn't require a helmet). Use BSCI roll bar padding.
I think trucks/SUVs should be required to have bumper extensions down to where a normal cars bumper is. Bumper height is regulated, however, SUVs are considered to be trucks even though they're used as cars, so they're allowed to have higher bumpers. I was hopeful that a big ugly bumper would reduce the popularity of SUVs; however it seems like gas prices has already done that.
Trucks and most SUVs have frames, which is good for their occupants in lower speed crashes, bad for the unibody car that they hit. However at high speeds the frame doesn't absorb the force of the impact. So at highway speeds and anything above 40 mph, the full force of the impact is trasferred to the occupants.

Don't worry mine doesn't either. But it's quite scary, because even a roll cage would not completely protect you. The formality of a roll cage is in the name "roll." a roll cage still wouldn't protect you from the collapsing crumple zones and a frontal collision would send the dash into your balls. Civic's aren't the safest cars, but man they're fun. Just look both ways I guess at junctions for idiotic drivers
