- Mon Jan 28, 2008 11:25 pm #39772 how the hell did you do that. I topped out my z6 and y8 at just passed 130, Pegged the US speedo. I was in 4th using a Ex/Si tranny. More mods than you. I/H/E and a chip.

I had that same problem in my 89 CRX (D16Z5), 225km p/u and then it hit the limiter

D15B7 topped out on 210-215, B16 at 230-235, both just under the limiter.

But who cares about top speed?
It's nice to hit once in a while, but IMO it's all about taking corners two or three times the speed other people's cars can, without fouling your underwear

Am the same as most of you tis good to have it but prefer acceleration and handling to top speed.

- Tue Aug 05, 2008 4:35 pm #64791 ive maxed out my ride to the max 5th gear..LOL.. racing my bois 00 civic SI in the free way.. i have a 99 Ls motor/98 Gsr Tranny with some mods.. my tach maxed 7200 and my speed was way over 140 didnt look down due to high speed in freewy racing..ahhaha my car still wanted to go but i had no more rpms to go..

the real deal, I was in my friend draper 91 GTR, chipped ecu, boost turned up, rev limiter at 9200, the clock stops at 180, but we were wrapped back around zero, to the point that the little black dimple thing, wouldnt let the needle go any further.
