#212654 Does anybody know anybody with these. Does anybody think it would be worth swapping out the oem for the buddy club ball joints

#212695 How much more expensive are they than OEM? Keep in mind they're going to wear down eventually so spending x2 the price doesn't make a lot of sense.

#212800 The oem ball joints are $75 each so $150 a pair the buddy clubs ball joints are $151 for a pair. What im reading is that they have a stiffer dust boot, they are extended 3/4 inch, and are suppose to help the suspension geometry. But i cant get a straight answer about how they will help or how they ride.

I'm just taking a guess here...the reason so few people are commenting is because they have never changed em out. I have changed mine cause I had to...otherwise I wouldn't have done it. Its a pain, you gotta remove the knuckle comepletely and press them out with a hydro press...also the main wheel bearing gets in the way. Basically my opinion is leave em alone...how much improvement could they make, all they are is the pinion point of the knuckle.

That really depends. I replaced my ball joints because they were SHOT. Once I took the off you an hold the cap and just wiggle the joint. It was that loose. if the joint is still stiff, you can just replace the boot, they sell replacement boots if the boot is worn.

And yes, replacing the ball joints are a pain in the ass. You don't need a hydro press though. Auto parts stores have loaner tools and that how I did mine, the ball joint remover/press is like a big C-clamp.

#212872 I agree, if they are shot they need to be replaced. I wouldn't just do it if they weren't broke already though. I actually wanted to use the c clamp thing but I couldn't get one and the hydro press wasn't working right...I had to beat them out with a makeshift tool. I went and bought the c clamp from harbor freight and it is really good quality. Just need that and a pickle fork and a ton of sweat.

#212887 Well i got the knuckles from the junk yard so they are already off. I had to cut off one ball joint because it was stuck and i really dont trust the other one so thats why i want to replace them. The buddy club ball joints are the same price as oem but the real question is how much different are they. how do they really help the suspension with ride quality and steering

#212908 You said they are supposed to change the geometry somewhat...not sure if that is a good thing or not. The job of the lower ball joint is very simple, I can't think of any improvement...but the buddy club ones probably come with a sticker in the box!

#212918 Alright a sticker.. Yes what ive always wanted  anyways talked to a couple of guys thats sell them and they said it drops the front 3/4 inch which is ok because i got coilovers so i can fix the drop. Because it pushes the knuckle up it will give me more camber that i can adjust. I hope because the knuckle is going up if it will straightin up the axles and if i have more camber what will that do to the ride.

#212946 I have the J´s Racing extended ball joints and i strongly recommends them to any car that is lowered.
They remove a lot of body roll when lowering roll centre. But sure, they are not the most easy part to remove and install.
I did it without any hydro press.
Great tip is to use the oven and freezer ;)
