#231946 i take out my main relay, detachable steering wheel and my ecu everytime i get out my car, since i dont have an alarm yet, im not too interested in doing kill switches, i thought about main relay kill switch but i thought hey imma jus take it off every time.

anything else i can do besides adding alarm, kill switches. i wanna do the hood latch relocating.

i was thinking of building some kind of bar that would mount on both doors and it would prevent the thief from opening the car unless u can unlock it witha key. but then again they can just cut it off after busting my windows off. :?

i want to try some new kind of security, this ones just one of them. 8)

#231951 do all kinds of kill switches. They'll just bust a window and hop in if your door won't open. The only thing that can be done if they can't start your car is tow it off.

#231957 yea and thats when the bar comes into play, the bar will be like a foot above the seats so they wont be able to sit in. or i can slide my seats up and fold and install the bar there, and they wont be able to get in and unfold it without bar that in the way.

#231998 damn thats crazy, its like what the hell ur suppose to do to prevent ur car from being jacked? take off ur wheels and bury them, or take out ur engine every night and leave it in ur room. that sucks for ur friend though.
im trying to come up with new solutions to not get ur car jacked

anyone has rented a storage room and put their car in there? theres this storage room facility right outside my neighborhood and one right beside my work. im thinking it would be really convenient for me. i wonder how they cost though

#232004 sorry to be a buzz kill or anything but ultimately if they want it they will get it, whatever you put on/in it will only be a deterrent

#232021 sounds like way too much work each time you get in and out of your car. lock your doors and don't park it near some crack heads.

#232022 lol i was just kidding. how about just booby trap ur car, like that one car that shoots flames off the side of the car.

have an air horn mounted inside the dashboard and blast that shit when the alarm goes off lol. :)

or somehow wire deadly voltage to the shift knob or hand brake, only u'll kno how to disconnect it.

program a fake self-destruct countdown lol i wonder how the thief would react.

more cars will be stolen in Texas this year than all of Canada..

I live in the midwest and am noided as fuck. i could only imagine what it's like living somewhere in cali or texas.. its a damn shame.

since moving into my house and storing the hatchy in a locked garage instead of a wide open apt building lot has definitely allowed me to sleep a little easier at night.

#232046 If theifs want what you have enough, they will get it no matter what they have to do. I'm super paranoid about my vechiles and would never tell anyone whats done for security to my car. Not even my Best Friend. I would recommend that to everyone.

Also to everyone who does Kill switches, dont forget to put split loom on your wiring and tape it up to look OEM. nothing stands out like wires that are randomly strewn around.

#232116 Don't listen to the fatalists. If you put some real security on your car, your car wont get stolen.

I'd like to see PROOF of one single tow truck theft. Those are very uncommon, and when those theft rings are broken up, they turn out to be insurance fraud scams. People want to get out of their car payments so they arrange to have their car stolen.

Everyone else is saying "it must be a tow truck" because they can't imagine how their car was stolen. But it is VERY easy to get around a fuel kill switch, removable steering wheel, missing ECU, missing fuses, etc.

Removing the main relay doesn't do any good. You can get some pieces of wire and jumper the pins in the main relay harness and drive off. You do the same thing for a missing EFI fuse.

A P06 will run virtually any OBD1 Honda.
Any 88-00 steering wheel will drop right on to any Honda/Acura steering column. And there are other ways to get around the little features of those kits.

If you watch Honda forums for "my car got stolen" threads and PM the author for details, you'd see how many cars get stolen despite having removed the ECU, installed a fuel kill switch, and having a detachable steering wheel.

Good luck.

Not true, Can't really EVER say it WONT/CANT be stolen. Most thieves are one of us and more than likely read up on forums and the security options as well. Like you sort of said...They bring whatever needed to steal a car, if they are good. Everything we do to our cars is just one more thing to slow them down and hopefully make them give up or possibly allow you or someone else the time to catch them in the act.

One of the known local thieves here in az worked for a towing company before getting caught.... there was nothing arranged about his thefts. One was my buddy's integra.

#232119 keep it in a garage blocked behind at least one car junk car with no wheels sitting on its brake rotors.

a few alarms on the garage itself that sounds off a set or two of train horns.

night vision cameras in the garage and a monitor next to your bed.

a coupe dobermans trained to kill hangin out in your garage.

TRESPASSERS WILL BE SHOT and BEWARE OF DOG sings everywhere.

and finally a nice 12 gauge pump beside your bed and a switch in your room that locks the doors to the garage so you can trap them sumbitches in there
